Things in the UK are looking good.  Inflation and unemployment are down, retail sales and GDP are up, and interest rates are stable despite the credit crunch affecting just about everyone. UK GDP rose by 0.8% in the June 2007 quarter, up from 0.7% in the March 2007 quarter.  GDP is now 3.0% up on the June 2006 quarter year. Construction output is up 3.7% on the year, while household expenditure is up 2.6% and government expenditure is up 2.1%.  Employee compensation is up 3.6%. Source:  UK National Statistics; »»
