A profile on Dunedin City for 2007, the report considered a range of short and long-term indicators of the City’s economic health. The report went on to consider the largest and fastest-growing industries in the City in terms of employment and GDP. It highlighted industries that are important to Dunedin relative to their national importance as a result of their employment contribution to the City’s economy.

Finally, the report looked in-depth at six sectors of particular interest to the Dunedin City Council: the tourism; ICT; creative; education and research; primary production; and engineering, and machinery and equipment manufacturing sectors.
