A regional profile and performance report looking at the key performance indicators (population, GDP, employment, business size/creation, and productivity) for the South Wairarapa district over the period 1995-2005. Analysis is broken down across seven sectors, although more detailed 52 sector data is also tabulated.
In the year to March 2005, the South Wairarapa recorded very strong growth. GDP growth, at 14.1 percent, was higher than New Zealand growth (3.8%). The longer-term performance remains solid, with the latest five-year period showing significantly stronger growth than the previous five-year outcome.
