The report presented a medium-term forecast of the economic prospects for Manukau City based upon business as usual assumptions. The main focus of the report was on the economic environment that Manukau will be operating in, both globally and nationally, and then discussing key focus areas that Manukau should focus on to encourage sustainable economic growth over and above the forecasts. The purpose of the report was to assist the Council in preparing plans and strategies for the social and economic development of Manukau City.
