This research undertaken jointly by BERL and the New Zealand Institute for Research on Ageing (NZiRA) analyses the housing situation of older people in New Zealand and the housing options which are open to them, both at the present time and in the future.  It explores what types of accommodation will best meet the needs of an ageing population and improve the quality of life for older people, especially those with low incomes, renters, Maori, Pacific People and women.
